This project constituted an early stage of Mirvac’s continuing Yarra’s Edge development of housing and apartments on the south bank of the Yarra River in Port Melbourne.

 

The development remains almost unique in providing large family homes within an integrated development, with generous accommodation and high level of finish, in close proximity to Melbourne Central Business District.

               

Early stages were constructed using lightweight upper floor structure in combination with Hebel floor panels. Later stages reverted to suspended concrete slab construction.

               

Houses were generally designed over three or four levels, some with private swimming pools. Internal accommodation was generous with premium internal finishes. Larger houses were provided with private elevators.
